DJs - Disc Jockeys at Edinburgh Weddings

We have a superb line up of disc jockeys used by the top hotels in Edinburgh.

Booking through this service guarantees the following:

A professional disc jockey who is entertaining.

A professional disc jockey who knows when, and when not, to use a microphone.

A professional clear sound system.

A professional lighting system without company advertising lighting up your reception.

A professional disc jockey who dresses smartly to perform at your party.

A music request form is provided at the time of booking to allow you to dictate what music will be played, and/or not played at your reception, not purely choosing your first and second dances.

A large music collection allowing guests to request music at your reception.

In most cases,a disc jockey who can also assist your guests in ceilidh dancing with the disc jockey "calling" the dances.

As Keith, one of our disc jockeys, feels we need to remind you: "If you think it's expensive hiring a professional, wait until you hire an amateur!" Is it worth taking the risk? We hope you don't think so.

Keith Bell

Keith

Keith is celebrating his Silver jubilee in DJing this year meaning 25 years of experience providing entertainment for weddings, anniversaries and birthdays at venues throughout the country, such as Peebles Hydro, Carberry Tower, Dalhousie and Dundas Castles as well as many of the top hotels including the Caledonian Hilton, Hilton Grosvenor, King James, Balmoral, Barcelo Carlton, Houston House and ", Menzies Belford and MacDonald Holyrood. Keith successfully completed three years of Christmas parties at the Menzies Belford between 2005 and 2007, with many groups coming back year after year. When the Menzies closed, Keith then enjoyed a very busy 2008 Christmas season at the Macdonald Holyrood hotel, receiving very positive feedback from both customers and staff. As a result, Keith has already been booked for the Christmas 2009 season.

Corporate customers benefiting from Keith’s expertise have included Marks & Spencers, City of Edinburgh Council, Lothian & Borders Police, Standard Life and Scottish Equitable.

With music ranging from the forties to the noughties, there will be something for everyone at your event. Please make sure you complete the Music Request Form in advance of your event, although Keith will be happy to take requests from your guests on the night, providing they are suitable for your audience.

Ceilidh music can also be provided and Keith can ‘call’ the dances as well, meaning everyone can take part, from the novice to the expert.

For all the brides to be, Keith has presided at over 500 weddings and is happy to discuss your requirements with you before you book, as well as keeping in touch with you as the big day approaches if required, so that any worries you may have can be resolved, meaning one less thing to be stressed-out over.

Some of Keith's letters of thanks:

Just a short note to thank you very much for all the effort you put in to ensure Deek's 50th birthday party was a success. Since Friday, a lot of people have commented what an enjoyable night it was. Also, many of our friends and relatives gave lots of credit to you as they thought it a blessing in disguise that they were able to listen/dance to the music and still be able to hold a conversation with the person next to you. Also, they reckoned the right records were being played and the DJ, himself, came across as a friendly, helpful and obliging guy who knew his stuff!!

Dot Lawson

Keith has had really positive feedback from both staff and guests over the Christmas period. I personally have been very impressed - which is always a hard thing to do!!!!!

The Boring Techie Stuff:

Keith’s commitment to providing a top-quality service is reflected in his commitment to having state of the art equipment to support him. He has invested in the new Denon HD-2500 HDC, which is the top of the range digital music controller, allowing over 100,000 songs to be instantly available to you and your guests. This is supported by a purpose built sound and light system incorporating the latest in LED and laser technology, meaning an audio-visual experience which will complement your special event.

With everyone having to tighten their purse strings, costs are always an issue and many brides are looking at ways of trimming their costs. Many people comment that you can hire disc jockeys that charge less than Keith and other professional disc jockeys. However this is your "big day" and your reception is the longest part of the day involving ALL of your guests so, to quote Red Adair

"If you think it's expensive hiring a professional, wait until you hire an amateur!"

To help couples trying to plan their big day next year during the ongoing credit crunch, Keith has decided to offer you your wedding in 2010 at 2009 prices, so Keith's fee for 2010, which includes public liability insurance, all electrical equipment passing PAT, disco sound & lighting, travel costs to Edinburgh, arrangement fee and relevant VAT, is £320.00. (no extra charge to wear the jacket!) This fee is based on a maximum 5 hour period, finishing by 1am. £25 early booking discount is available upon enquiry.
