We have a superb line up of disc jockeys used by the top hotels in Edinburgh.
Booking through this service guarantees the following:
A professional disc jockey who is entertaining.
A professional disc jockey who knows when, and when not, to use a microphone.
A professional clear sound system.
A professional lighting system without company advertising lighting up your reception.
A professional disc jockey who dresses smartly to perform at your party.
A music request form is provided at the time of booking to allow you to dictate what music will be played, and/or not played at your reception, not purely choosing your first and second dances.
A large music collection allowing guests to request music at your reception.
In most cases,a disc jockey who can also assist your guests in ceilidh dancing with the disc jockey "calling" the dances.
As Keith, one of our disc jockeys, feels we need to remind you: "If you think it's expensive hiring a professional, wait until you hire an amateur!" Is it worth taking the risk? We hope you don't think so.

Graeme has performed as the DJ for many couples on their special day in the past 18 years making him something of a wedding guru. Being self-employed Graeme is available for both weekend or mid-week events and is able to attend for longer periods should you decide upon having background music played during the drinks reception and meal or perhaps even music for the service. Having Graeme arrive early to provide microphones for the speeches may be more cost effective than hiring in a PA.
Whilst weddings are his specialty he also loves doing anniversaries, birthday parties and corporate events. From intimate functions of 20 people to corporate functions for 1200, Graeme is comfortable and adaptable in making the night work well.
Working regularly over the whole of Scotland and North England with some of the finest ceilidh bands in Scotland he’s found himself working as a disc jockey, compere and ceilidh caller – and often a mixture of them all! Graeme often forms part of a band acting as the caller for the dances, inviting guests to the floor and teaching them how to enjoy a ceilidh.

It's your day and you want it to go perfectly, it’s not something you’re planning to do often and you want your party to really be just that, a great party with people dancing all night - this isn't something you should be worrying about, so let Graeme sort that part out.
Graeme doesn’t come as the cheapest entertainer, but then is your wedding something you want to scrimp on? With some of the top hotels suggesting their clients book Graeme for their entertainment you’d be well advised to book him up before someone else does!
Sound and lighting
Graeme’s “standard” rig is hardly standard. His own love for gadgets and great sound and light shows is the reason why he has what is probably one of the best speaker systems in the world. The latest Bose L1 stands 7’ tall and only 5” wide but packs 24 speakers in the column with additional bass speaker on the floor. The Bose system brings home hifi quality to the function suite and packs plenty power for your average sized wedding party. The music comes from the new DJ specific MP3 playing decks allowing full control and overlaying tracks which holds the huge range of music which might be needed for your party.
When it comes to lighting effects, Graeme has many to choose from and he selects those which make the most of your venue, complimenting the shape and size of the room; rest assured there are no 70’s school disco lights!
There’s also a number of options for enhancing the equipment for your event including: Cloth backdrop with twinkling star effect, Additional Bose L1 speakers and bass bins powerful enough for the largest of venues, lighting truss to replace the traditional lighting T-bars doubling the number of effects, DMX controlled lighting. If these are of interest please ask. Likewise, having worked in many of the venues over the years, if the venue you’ve chosen needs that little bit more sound or light then Graeme will suggest this to you during your enquiry.
All equipment is kept in excellent condition and tested regularly for electrical safety as is required for portable appliances. The PAT Certificate is available should your venue require to see it.
Music
Before your event you will have completed a list of music you want to hear on your night. What’s equally important to Graeme is to know of any tunes you don’t want to hear; your requests are important, it’s your party!
Graeme carries over eight thousand tunes covering many genres and can cover themed parties along with . Your guests are welcome and encouraged to give their suggestions of tunes which will work for your group.
Ceilidh Calling
As well as being a DJ, Graeme regularly works with bands as a Ceilidh Caller for weddings and corporate events for all nationalities so ceilidh dances can be called - don’t worry about anything, you can give your guests a taste of a Scottish ceilidh with confidence.
You don’t have to have ceilidh, but if it suits your party some of the ceilidh dances which can be called for you and your guests might be –
Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant, Canadian Barn Dance, St Bernard’s Waltz, Britannia Two Step, Flying Scotsman, Strip the Willow, Military Two Step, Circassian Circle, Virginia Reel & Orcadian Strip the Willow.
Why not add a ceilidh “set” to your party?
The Clients’ Comments
I just wanted to let you know Graeme was fantastic on Saturday. I have spoken to him directly but wanted to let you know too. He really couldn't have been more helpful and understanding.
Please pass on my thanks to Graeme the DJ we had for our Hogmanay party. He was fantastic and all our passengers had a fantastic time.
The night honestly was superb and couldn’t have gone better in any way possible. The floor was constantly full and the DJ created such a fantastic atmosphere, the place was just jumping the whole night, right from the word go. Obviously this was a HUGE contribution to making our Wedding Day as special as it should be and we can’t thank you enough for this.
Please, please, please pass on our gratitude and thanks for helping make our big day so perfect.
A huge thank you to Graeme, the caller/DJ, who totally made the evening of our wedding such a fabulous party. I can't continue to recommend enough, the way he interacted with everyone... and got us all to do the steps and joking with us. If I had known how great it would be I wouldn't have worried for a second whether the ceilidh idea would work with a load of complete beginners. Everyone said they had a great time.
I had to write and say a massive thank you to Graeme who was our DJ for our wedding at Orocco Pier on 5th June. He was absolutely fantastic. The music was brilliant and he took all requests and played everything he could. What a fantastic guy. He really made our night and his chat was great.
This is a LONG overdue email to say a huge thank you for playing such an important part in our big day. We had the best day ever and the party in the evening was the icing on the cake - you were just brilliant! Think you even did a good job of keeping our first dance secret... I won't hesitate to recommend you to all and sundry whenever asked and if you need any glowing references or anything just let me know (thats if my opinion is worth anything!). I'm really sorry I didn't get a chance to say thanks and goodbye on the night - I got swept away!
