Ceilidh band 4 is a great choice for any occasion. This four piece ceilidh band, consisting of Accordion, Fiddle, Keyboard & Drums, can provide a fun night of popular ceilidh dances. The dances, to name but a few, include the Dashing White Sergeant, Gay Gordons, Strip The Willow, Military two-step, Canadian Barn Dance & Orcadian Strip The Willow. The band also like to incorporate “newer” ceilidh dances into the programme and although not as well known as those above, they are just as fun to dance.

The band has more than 20 years experience playing at weddings and ceilidhs and can help co-ordinate any function from start to finish. The band have performed at many venues up and down the country such as The Carlton Hotel, The Balmoral Hotel, Cameron House Hotel, Norton House Hotel, Gleneagles Hotel, The Fairmont St. Andrews (formerly St. Andrews Bay Hotel), Glasgow Science Centre & Edinburgh Castle. The band also performed at the famous Shetland Accordion & Fiddle Festival in 2009 and has featured on BBC Radio Scotland’s “Take The Floor” programme of Scottish traditional dance music.

Scotty (accordionist) is also the band’s caller and with the aid of a wireless headset microphone he can help with the dance instructions and can continue to offer help & instruction once the music has started and the dance is underway. The band’s aim is to perform all the popular ceilidh dances during an evening. Scotty provides expert tuition with the emphasis on dancing and not over-elaborate dance instruction. Less chat equals more dancing.

The band can provide DJ & disco including lighting to suit all functions. The DJ has a music library of over 8000 songs. The music choices can be left to the DJ however, there is an option for you to choose the music to be played or give an indication of your musical taste which allows the DJ to play songs that compliment your choice.
